Workshops
At Evolving Canvases, we believe creativity can be a powerful tool for connection, self expression, wellbeing and positive change.
Our programmes create welcoming and supportive spaces where people can explore creativity at their own pace. No previous artistic or photographic experience is needed. The focus is on building confidence, developing new interests, connecting with others and discovering what creativity can offer.
Our approach is informed by the Five Ways to Wellbeing framework: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give. These principles are woven throughout our programmes, using creativity as a practical and enjoyable way for people to support their wellbeing.
Mindscapes
Mindscapes is our creative wellbeing programme, using accessible mindful art activities to support relaxation, self expression and connection.
Through guided creative sessions, participants are encouraged to slow down, take notice, be present and focus on the creative process rather than the finished piece.
Mindscapes is designed to be inclusive and adaptable, creating opportunities for people to connect with others, learn something new and experience the positive effects of creativity without pressure or expectation

Refocus
Refocus is a series of accessible photography workshops combining creativity, practical skills and wellbeing.
Sessions can explore composition, light, portraiture, street photography, visual storytelling and creative photography. The emphasis is on curiosity, experimentation and learning rather than getting everything technically perfect.
No previous photography experience is required and Refocus can be delivered as a standalone programme.
Recovery Lens
Recovery Lens is our photography and wellbeing programme designed specifically for people affected by addiction and recovery.
For many people recovery means rediscovering who they are, reconnecting with the world around them and building an identity that is no longer defined by addiction or their past.
Photography becomes more than taking pictures. It provides a way to express experiences, discover new interests, build confidence and routine and document change.
